Pret a Porter is a local fashion design competition using architectural interior products.

2004

Our manufacturer sponser was Masland Carpet, so we chose to create a complex looped skirt (all hand looped) from the yarn fibers of carpet. The underlining of the skirt is made from the plastic mat fiber found in carpet backing. Other than the thread to sew the skirt together, this entire outfit is made from components of carpet.

2017

The second Pret a Porter competition I participated in we again got paired with a carpeting manufacturer, Mowhawk Carpet.  The theme for this show was headpieces, so we took homage from the manufacture name and created an iconic mohawk made of carpet.
